Oben has already launched its electric bike, Oben Rorr, in Bengaluru. Deliveries are set to expand across India soon. This bike boasts a 187 km claimed range (realistically around 120-130 km) with a 4.4 kWh battery and an 8 kW motor. It can reach a top speed of 100 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3 seconds. The starting ex-showroom price is 1.5 lakh rupees.

This Gujarat-based startup’s electric bike, Aera, offers some interesting features. It has a liquid-cooled motor and battery for better thermal management. Additionally, it comes with a unique 4-speed manual gearbox, offering a familiar gear-shifting experience unlike typical electric scooters. Aera boasts a 5 kWh battery with a claimed range of 125 km and a 10 kW motor for a 0-60 km/h sprint in 6 seconds. The starting price is 1.74 lakh rupees, with the top variant costing 1.84 lakh rupees, mainly due to additional connectivity features.
5. Ora Mantis (Powerful Option for Performance Enthusiasts)
Ora Mantis, from a Bengaluru-based startup, is a powerful electric bike designed to compete with 400-500 cc sports bikes. It packs an 8.9 kWh battery with a claimed range of 221 km. The 20.5 kW motor produces 93 Nm of torque and offers a top speed of 135 km/h. The ex-showroom cost is a substantial 3.6 lakh rupees. Deliveries are expected to begin in June or July 2024.
